The £10million National Aviation Academy based Robin Hood Airport was launched by Directions Finningley and plays a key role in addressing shortages of highly qualified aviation engineers - training students in the latest aviation qualifications.
Directions required a high interest, attention-grabbing overview of key topics such as airflow, aircraft dynamics, control and design. The introduction needed to be flexible enough to appeal to a wide number of audiences including cabin crew, ground crew, baggage handlers and other "back-office" airport staff as well as new entrants seeking a career in the airport industry.
LETS developed "Principles of Flight" as a 35 minute 3D simulation graphically demonstrating crucial concepts in 3D. The 3D "video" can be shown in its entirety or as one or more bite-sized sections giving it the flexibility to be used as both an educational and promotional tool.
The versatility and impact of LETS 3D simulations is likely to cut training time as students grasp key concepts faster when shown how they apply and the need to "borrow" an expensive real-world working aircraft has diminished thanks to the ready availability of a virtual aircraft.

Considerable savings in both training costs and learning time are within your reach as trainees internalise concepts quicker, understand key facts faster and quickly grasp the intricacies of subject matter often impossible to convey quickly and easily in words alone.
Unlike a book or 2D video, true-to-life objects can be manipulated and moved on screen and viewed from any angle at any size or level of detail -from the movements of basic atoms to whole galaxies, from the biology of a single cell to an entire living organism, from the stress levels on a single bolt to the dynamics of an entire bridge.
Interactive 3D/4D has particular benefit in enabling students to visualise and practice interaction with complex, large or dangerous objects, events or scenes in complete safety. Examples include disaster training, safety precautions and catastrophe avoidance procedures.
DK-Exchange has a proven track record in the creation of high impact 3D/4D training solutions for clients across a vast of industries and market sectors.
